Big Seven league foes Holton and Sabetha meet up on the mat last night and the action featured many area ranked wrestlers in the state.
Wildcats came out on top on their home mat for the dual winning it 62-17 over the Bluejays as the win total was 11-3 in favor of Holton.
For the Bluejays, Levin Huneke, Tyler Edelman and Brandon Pokrandt all earned wins on the evening. Huneke won in technical fall 16-1 over his opponent, while Pokrandt pinned his opponent in a time of 5:01. For Edelman, his win on the night came via an open class for Holton.
The Wildcats registered 11 wins on the night, starting the night off winning 10 straight matches before Sabetha won all three of their matches and then Holton closed the night with a win by Cooper Zeller who remained unbeaten on the season with a win by pin in 12 seconds.
Eli Dowd, Hunter Price, Lucas Lovvern, Lane Lassiter, Mason Baum and Andrew Riescheck all earned wins via pinfalls for the Wildcats. Both Ryan Clark and Justin Pool registered wins via byes on the night, while Jonah Lutz won his dual by technical fall and Justin Riescheck added a win via decision.
