Two 0-1 District teams would enter Friday night looking to pick up their 1st District win of the 2019 season. Sabetha was ready to start a new winning streak after having their win streak snapped at 23 games falling in a clasic battle of ranked teams 40-32 against Marysville last week.  In week five this year, runningback Michael Gugelman had a career night on the
ground as the Bluejays dominated from start to finish in a 53-0 home win against Hiawatha to stay perfect in the Big 7 League.

Hiawatha would start the game with the football, but after going three and out would be forced to punt. The Bluejays would need just eight plays before Gabe Garber would find the endzone from one yard out, 7-0. It would be all Sabetha after that. On Sabetha's third drive of the game Michael Gugelman would find the endzone from 11 yards out, 14-0. Gugelman would then take it in from one yard out to put the Bluejays up 21-0. Gabe Garber would then a
complete a three yard pass to Drew Schemelzle in the endzone for the score, 27-0.

Gabe Garber would get his second rushing touchdown of the night taking it in from two yards out. Michael Gugelman would get his third touchdown of the night from 35 yards, 41-0. Ross Duncan would take it in from 21 yards out for his first score of the season, 47-0. Kaden Dillon would run one in from 11 yards out to end the game, 53-0.

The Bluejays would finish the game with 460 total yards of offense. Michael Gugelman would finish the game with 176 yards and three touchdowns.  Andrew Frazee ran for 102 yards. Gabe Garber rushed for 28 yards and two rushing touchdowns. The Redhawks would finish with just 52 total yards.  Alex Rockey would rush for 21 yards and Tyler Davis ran for 18 yards.

The Bluejays improve to 4-1 overall and 1-1 District Play, and will face off with the Holton WIldcats next Friday night. Hiawatha drops to 0-5 overall and will face Wamego next Friday night.
