Week Six KVA – Rankings
Just two weeks remain in the high school volleyball regular season and with that the Kansas Volleyball Association released the newest set of state rankings Wednesday with seven area teams named.
The biggest change this week comes in Class 4A as two teams are ranked with the Atchison Lady Red up to No. 9 with a 17-7 record while Holton is into the rankings at No. 10 after a sweep of Sabetha and Hiawatha Tuesday night.
As to Sabetha the Bluejays continue to be ranked in Class 3A dropping two spots to No. 7 with a 21-7 record while Royal Valley continues to hold the top overall spot in the class with a record of 25-2.
Two more teams remain in the Class 2A rankings with Valley Heights still at No. 5 with a 25-4 record after two dominant wins over Doniphan West and Wetmore Tuesday, while Oskaloosa continues to hold the No. 10 ranking at 20-7.
The final ranked area team comes in Class 1A with the defending state champion Centralia Panthers checking in once again at No. 2 with an overall record of 23-5.
