Centralia Native, Bob Fischer Gets National Attention for His 14 Guinness World Records

He's not a pop-a-shot sensation, but more of a shooting guru, that is Centralia native, Bob Fischer who made it into the national spotlight this past year around the time of the NCAA March Madness tournament for his exceptional shooting skills that have allowed him to set 14 Guinness World records.

The shooting guru has perfected the art that many NBA players would like to perfect and that is the art of the free throw. Fischer, currently holds 14 world records for free throw shooting that he set over a 26 month span.

Perhaps the most impressive of the records Bob currently owns is the 2,371 free throws made in an hour which shattered the old mark of 1,968. Some of the more unique records Fischer holds includes most free throws made on one leg in a minute with 49 and most free throws made in one minute blindfolded with 22.

Fischer seemingly owns just about every free throw record out there or at least it seems that way, here is list of some of his records: 33 free throws made in 30 seconds, 50 in one minute, 92 in two minutes, 448 in 10 minutes,  most underhanded free throws in one minute with 28, most in two minutes using alternating hands with 62 and most in one minute using alternating hands with 35, also most free throws made by a pair and mixed pair with 29 made as a pair with Garrett Steinlage and 32 made as a mixed pair with Dana Kramer.

The 54-year-old, Fischer isn't a big time sports guy as he's worked for the Department of Agriculture for 24 years but he's known to have a great shooting touch. He has taught shooting skills to kids and also produced a secret to shooting video which you can purchase online at his website www.secretsofshooting.com.
