Jeff County North Leads Area Track Performances at McLouth Invitational

McLouth Track & Field Invitational – Results

Area high school track teams continued their seasons Friday at the McLouth Invitational, and the best finishes came from the Jeff County North boys who won the meet while the girls took second.

The Charger girls finished second behind two first place finishes as Gretchen Babcock won the 100-meter hurdles while Esa Miller won the pole vault.

McLouth finished third with just one first place finish on the girl’s side as the 4 by 800-meter relay team took the crown.

Horton on the girl’s side added first place finishes from Devyn Nanomantube winning the javelin, Harmonie Garrison the shot put and Maliyah Soto the long jump.

Maur Hill-Mount Academy rounds out first place finishes on the girl’s side with Hope Baniewicz winning the triple jump and Scarlett Begley the high jump.

On the boy’s side Jeff County North won the meet behind eight wins led by Ryan Feldkamp who won the shot put and discus while Caleb Worthington won the triple jump and pole vault, James Kramer the long jump and 100-meter dash, Isaac Kane the high jump and the 4 by 800-meter relay team also picking up a win.

Maur Hill-Mount Academy added one first place finish as Joe Hernandez claimed the 400-meter dash, while McLouth wrapped up event winners with a first place finish by Hunter Plake in the javelin.
