Big 7 League Quad at Jeff West – Results

Area Big 7 League track teams were in action Tuesday night at the Jeff West quad and the Sabetha girls and boys captured the team titles.

The Lady Jays captured eight events on the night including three by Leah Renyer who won the shot put, discus and javelin, while Hattie Lukert won the 800 and 1600-meter run.  Mary Lukert also captured the 100-meter hurdles, while the 4 by 400 and 4 by 800-meter relay teams added wins.

The Perry Lecompton Kaws ended the day with five wins as Allyson Baker won the long jump and 200-meter dash, Emma Nally the high jump, Campbell Keller the 100-meter dash and the 4 by 100-meter relay team taking home a win.

Jeff West added four event winners on the day with Sydney Thompson capturing the 400-meter dash, Nova Chatham the 3200-meter run, and Mellany Roenne the 300-meter hurdles along with the triple jump.

On the boy’s side Sabetha dominated with 12 event wins on the day led by Noah Nonnast who captured the 100 and 200-meter dashes while Charlie Bestwick won the 400-meter dash, Tyrese Bishop the 800-meter run, Kalvin Evans the 1600 and 3200-meter runs, Jonathan Renyer the 110 and 300-meter hurdles, Joshua Grimm the discus and Michael Gugleman the triple jump. The Bluejays also swept the relay events capturing the 4 by 100, 400 and 800-meter relays.

Perry Lecompton added five wins with Parker Stone capturing the high jump and long jump, Cameron Jeter the shot put and javelin along with Tyler Reed winning the 110-meter hurdles.

The only other win came from Jeff West who had Logan Wheeler capture the pole vault.
