Top 2-Seeds Advance to Boys TVL Tournament Title Game

The top 2-seeds in the TVL Boys Basketball Tournament will square off Saturday night for the Championship. 

Semi-Final Games: 

1-seed Hanover 48, 5-seed Troy 40

The Wildcats won their 31st straight game going back to the early portions of last season as they're able to get by Troy and reach the title game. 

Hanover led 13-8 after the first quarter and built a 24-13 halftime lead. 

It looked to be on its way to a blowout win after having a 37-18 lead after three quarters but Troy would not go away quietly as they hung up 22 points in the fourth quarter to make the game a lot more interesting down the stretch. 

Hanover was led by Emmitt Jueneman and Philip Doebele each with 10 points while Keagan Dimler added nine. Braelen Stallbaumer added eight points and 13 rebounds. 

Troy was led by Cam Anderson with 12 points on four three pointers while Jerrit Norris chipped in with 10 points and 12 rebounds. 

Hanover is now 10-0 while Troy has their eight game winning streak snapped as they're now 8-3. 

2-seed Centralia 52, 6-seed Frankfort 43

The Panthers were able to jump out to an early lead in the first half and was able to keep Frankfort at arms length the rest of the way. 

Centralia led 11-8 after one and 26-18 at halftime. 

Frankfort played a better second half as it was a 26-25 advantage for the Panthers in the final two quarters. 

Trenton Talley led Centralia with 18 points and four rebounds while Colton Weyer added 11 points, all in the first half. 

Three in double-figures for Frankfort led by Ethan Armstrong with 12 while Samuel Gros and Caden Dalinghaus added 10 each. 

The win moves Centralia to 7-2 while the Wildcats drop to 7-4. 

Hanover and Centralia will wrap up the TVL Tournament on Saturday night at 7:30 from Frankfort with the game broadcast live on 92.1 KMZA.
