Boys (Semifinals):

Valley Heights 65-49 over Frankfort

To start the night off it was the #8 seed Frankfort Wildcats the host of the TVL tournament taking on the highest seed left in the Valley Heights Mustangs who are the #4 seed. It was a blow for blow first half with each team matching each other, in different fashions with a few three's by Frankfort and slashing to the bucket by Lucas Adams and Calahan Brown, while Valley Heights went to their big men down low. After trading blows the Wildcats and Mustangs were tied at 26-26 at the half.

Coming out of the half Valley Heights punched Frankfort right in the mouth with a huge 24-7 third period that put Frankfort in a tremendous hole. The Wildcats did their best to try and claw back but Valley Heights was able to match any Frankfort run with a mini run or a run of their own, to win the game 65-49.

The Mustangs were lead by four players in double figures and a balanced attack overall with big man, Charles Musil leading the way with 12 points. Tanner Trimble added 11 points and Elijah Smith and Dylan Parker each chipped in 10 points on the night. Axtell 41-38 over Centralia

Two teams that had already played two games in the tournament meet up in the second semifinal of the night as the #7 seed Axtell Eagles faced off with the #6 seed Centralia Panthers. Just like the first contest both teams traded blows early on and the blows continued throughout the second half as it was a tight ballgame down to the final buzzer.

Centralia lead a majority of the way and lead it by five, 26-21 going into the fourth quarter, but Axtell quickly changed that taking the lead behind a pair of three-pointers to start the fourth quarter. Each team trade shots back and forth, then Axtell had the ball game tied at 38-38, but missed a pair shots and got the rebound with 1.1 seconds left and coach, Lucus Dalinghaus called a timeout to preserve the possession.

Out of the timeout it was senior, Aaron Schmelzle sending the piercing blow through Centralia as he hit the game winning three at he buzzer for Axtell to win the game 41-38 and advance to the TVL tournament championship.

Schmelzle only finished with nine points but none bigger than the game winner, as Christian Buessing added nine points also on the night for Axtell. Sam Steinlage in the loss lead Centralia with 10 points, as Devin Rempe and Trevor Mars each tallied nine points.
