The Atchison and Holton track and field teams competed on Friday at the Regional Meet hosted by Eudora to see who would advance to the State Meet in Wichita. 

The Wildcats had a handful of top finishes and will have multiple athletes in Wichita competing at State. 

Darcee Ashcroft led the Wildcat girls as she picked up two first place finishes in both the shot put and discus. 

Amariah Allen finished second in the triple jump while Piper Robinson finished third place in the pole vault. Macey Gross finished third in the 300 meter hurdles and Lauren Shupe finished third in the 100 meter hurdles. 

Jayana Carlson also finished fourth in the 300 meter hurdles and the 4x800 meter relay team finished in fourth place. 

Gary Booth led the Wildcat boys as he finished in third place in the 100 meter dash while the 4x100 meter relay team finished in fourth place. 

The Atchison girls were led by Tyeera Heyward as she finished seventh in the 300 meter hurdles and eighth place in the 100 meter hurdles. 

The Atchison boys top finisher was Antonio Pennetti as he finished eighth in the shot put.
