10 Area Teams Compete at 2A Regional Track at Jefferson County North

We had 10 area teams competing at the 2A Regional Track and Field Meet on Friday at Jefferson County North with trips to the State Meet decided. 

The ACCHS girls were led by Leah Wilson as she finished sixth place in the 3200 meter run and seventh in the 1600 meter run. 

The Tiger boys got three first place finishes from Keegan Lott as he picked up gold medals discuss, javelin, and shot put. Kieran Courter finished first place in the long jump while Bricen Lee finished second place in the 110 meter hurdles. 

The Horton girls were led by Maliyah Soto as she finished third place in the long jump and fourth place in the 100 meter dash. Carly Hutfles finished fifth place in the discus. 

Trent Lockwood led the Horton boys as he finished third place in the 300 meter hurdles. 

The Jackson Heights girls were led by both Makinley Mulroy and Kanyon Olberding. Mulroy finished second place in the 300 meter hurdles while Olberding finished second in both the long jump and triple jump. 

Third place finishes from Annie Allen in the 1600 meter run, Dawson Cochren in the discus, and Kylee Dieckmann in the javelin. 

The Cobra boys got a first place finish from Daniel Little in the 1600 meter run. Devin Mock finished third place in the high jump while the 4x800 meter relay team also picked up a third place finish. 

Julian Butto finished fourth in the discus and Kade Holliday finished fourth in the javelin. 

Adie Manville led the Jefferson County North girls as she finished first place in the high jump. They got second place finishes from Katelyn Schmalz in the pole vault and Tera Wistuba in the javelin. Wistuba finished third in the high jump while Triston Wyatt finished in third place in the pole vault. 

Isaac Kane led the JCN boys with the only first place finish in the high jump. He also finished third place in the 400 meter dash. Karson Worthington finished second place in the 300 meter hurdles while Caleb Worthington finished second in the pole vault. Ryan Feldkamp finished second in the discus and third place in the shot put. 

The Maur Hill-Mount Academy girls were led by Scarlett Begley as she finished in second place in the high jump. 

The Raven boys were led by the 4x100 meter relay team which finished in third place while Zach Sanford finished in fourth place in the 400 meter dash. 

The McLouth girls picked up a pair of first place finishes. Mikinzi Smoots in the pole vault as well as the 4x800 meter relay team. Second place finishes from Corissa Bandel in both the 100 meter dash and 100 meter hurdles, Reagan Clark in the 3200 meter run, and the 4x100 meter relay team. 

The McLouth boys were led by Henry Cloyd as he finished in first place in the 800 meter run and second place in the 3200 meter run. 

The Oskaloosa girls were led by Olivia Kilgo as she finished in third place in the 100 meter hurdles. She also picked up fourth place finishes in the long jump and triple jump. Talyor Peterson finished fourth in the 3200 meter run and Holly Thacher finished fifth in the 300 meter hurdles. 

The Oskaloosa boys got sixth place finishes from Cord Perry in the long jump as well as the 4x800 meter relay team. 

The Riverside girls were led by Sophie Juhl who finished in sixth place in the long jump while the 4x100 meter relay team also finished in sixth place. 

The Riverside boys best finish came from Landon Conard as he finished in seventh place in the 800 meter run. 

The Valley Falls girls were led by their 4x400 meter relay team which finished in seventh place while the boys got a fifth place finish from Spencer Doughramaji in the shot put and a sixth place finish Samuel Drinkard in the 100 meter dash. 

The Valley Heights girls were led by Emma Yungeberg as she swept first place finishes in the discus, javelin, and shot put. Maddy Vermetten finished second place in the 800 meter run while Anne Toerber finished in third place. Vermetten also finished second place in the discus behind Yungeberg. 

They also got a second place finish from the 4x800 meter relay team. 

The Valley Heights boys got a second place finish from their 4x100 meter relay team. Trenton L'ecuyer finished in third place in both the 100 and 200 meter dash's while Jayden DeWalt finished third place in the pole vault.
