The Kansas Softball Coaches Association recently released their All-State teams for the 2022 season.
Plenty of area athletes on the All-State teams this season but Troy certainly showed out after a runner-up finish in Class 2-1A.
First team selections for the Trojans included Paityn Engemann as a pitcher and Reagan Hill as an outfielder.
Second team selections were Avery Euler and Claire Winder as infielders while Paige Hinds was named Honorable Mention.
The Holton Wildcats posted a strong showing as well for All-State selections in Class 4A.
Timber Wilson at catcher and Gracie Gallagher as a utility player were named to the First Team while Sadie Walker and Brooke Flewelling were named to the Second Team as a pitcher and infielder respectively.
Class 3A had two local selections for Honorable Mention with Nemaha Central's Hailey Wurtz at catcher and Perry Lecompton's Taylor Damme as an outfielder.
