The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Games are set for Saturday, June 18th at Kansas Wesleyan University's Mabee Arena in Salina.
The lone area girl competing is Emma Yungeberg of Valley Heights. Emma finished off her senior season with the Mustangs averaging 17 points and 11 rebounds per game and making an appearance in the State Tournament.
Emma is off to Michigan to continue to her track and field and academic career in the fall.
Area boys competing include Avery Gatzemeyer of Valley Falls and Nahcs Wahwassuck of Royal Valley.
Avery helped lead the Dragons to the 1-seed in the 2A State Tournament with a fourth place finish. He averaged over 15 points per game along with five rebounds and over two assists per game.
Avery is set to continue his academic and athletic career at Fort Hays State University as he will play baseball.
Nahcs led Royal Valley to the 3A State Title game and a second place finish this season. He averaged 20 points and eight rebounds per game and will continue his basketball career at Emporia State University.
The girls game will tip off at 5:00 PM and the boys game will follow at 7:30 PM.
