It was a great showing for the Riverside basketball teams at the 2023 McLouth Invitational Tournaments.
The Lady Cyclones (11-1) won the tournament for a second consecutive season by beating Maur Hill-Mount Academy in the Championship game on Saturday 53-36.
The #5 ranked team in Class 2A this past week also had tournament wins over McLouth (55-19) in the first round and Pleasant Ridge (53-25) in the Semi-Finals.
They have now won four straight games since their lone of the season at Nemaha Central.
The Riverside boys (3-9) finished runner-up as they lost on Saturday in the Championship game to Bishop Ward 63-60.
The Cylones got to the Title game by beating Horton in the first round (55-42) and Maur Hill-Mount Academy (60-57) in the Semi-Finals.
Up next for Riverside, they jump right back into Big 7 League play on Tuesday (1/24) at home against Royal Valley.
