Falls City Sacred Heart won both the girls and boys Pioneer Conference basketball tournament championships over the weekend.
    Friday night the Sacred Heart girls beat Diller-Odell 36-25 to claim the title.  Ashli Jordan had 14 points for the Irish in the title game with Abbie Magdanz addign 8 and Elizabeth Magdanz chipping in 8.  the Irish have not won 14 straight and are 19-3 on the season.

Friend defeated Sterling in overtime to claim third place.

In the boys championship game Saturday night the Irish battled with Sterling for the title.  The Class D1 top ranked Irish led 19-17 after one quarter then used a 14-2 scoring advantage in the second quarterto take control of the game.  The Irish eventually led by as many as 21 points before the 7th ranked Jets cut it down to 8.

Junior guard, Chaz Dunn led the Irish with 20 points.  Lane Barnhill added 12 for the Irish.  Sterling was led by Kody Benson and Trey Trauernicht with 11 points each. 

Pawnee City calimed third place with a 60-37 victory over Lewiston.  Scott Borcher led the Indians with 19 points, Chase Grizzle added 14 and Graham Drogge scored a dozen for Pawnee City.  The Indians are now 17-4 on the season.
   
Cutter Singleton led Lewiston with 16 points.  Taylor McHenry added 14.
