The B&B Falcons flew out of the gate behind a 10-0 start to the ballgame and a 17-5 lead after the first quarter was in the books as they played host to the Onaga Buffaloes. B&B continued to pressure Onaga into mistakes in the second stanza pushing their lead to a 33-11 margin at the half. Falcons then continued to outscored Onaga in the second half as the woes continued for the Buffaloes with a 25-12 second B&B second half, for a 58-23 win for B&B at the end of the night.

Just about everything seemed to be going right for the Falcons on the night as 11 players scored a bucket in the contest with junior, Laura Sudbeck leading the team with 16 points while junior, Cassidy Hulsing added 12 points with a pair of three-pointers on the evening off the bench. Hulsing providing a spark off the bench earned the Community National Bank of Seneca and Sabetha "Player to Bank On" award on the evening with one the best games for her this season.

In the loss Onaga had seven players score but no one was able to pass the six point plateau on the evening, as junior, Kori Meyer lead the Buffaloes with six points.

With the win B&B moves to 14-3 on the season and extends their current winning streak too three straight games and turn their attention to Centralia on Friday in a road game. For Onaga they fall to 4-12 on the season, having loss their last five games and will look to get back on the winning track Friday at Axtell (game will be on 92.1 KMZA).

Boys

It was a tight ballgame down to the wire as both teams traded blows back and forth and both Onaga and B&B lead leads for portions of the contest. Game started off slow as Onaga lead it 8-7 after the first quarter, but then the Buffaloes on the road used an 14-10 second quarter to lead 22-17 at the half. B&B then pushed back in the third period with a 17-10 quarter in which junior, Dustin Rottinghaus tallied 12 of the 17 Falcon points, pushing B&B to the 34-32 lead.

Down the stretch the Falcons hit some free throws and foul trouble for Onaga proved to be to much as B&B held on for the win, 49-43, avenging a loss earlier this season to the Buffaloes in the TVL tournament. Both teams were saddled with foul trouble in the contest but it proved costly the most for the Buffaloes as senior, Thomas Eisenbarth fouled out of the game and sophomore, Wyatt Cordell sat a good portion of the second half with foul trouble.

Rottinghaus for the Falcons soared to a season high 23 points to lead them on the night as he only had five points at the half and busted out for 12 in the third quarter alone, hitting three three-pointers in the quarter. B&B finished with seven players scoring with senior, Curtis Stallbaumer being the second leading scorer on the night with nine points.

Onaga in the loss was lead by sophomore, Wyatt Cordell who tied his season high with 19 points, while hitting three three-pointers. Senior, Mitchell Kufahl finished with eight points and sophomore, Michael Bliss added seven also for the Buffaloes.

B&B with the win improved to 12-5 on the year and has now won their last three game and sets up to play a tough Centralia team on Friday night on the road. While Onaga fell to 9-7 with the loss, having loss their last four games and will look for a win Friday when they hit the road again against Axtell (game will be on 92.1 KMZA).
