JCN Lady Chargers Run Past Opponent to Continue Their Season

The defense of their Class 2A state title has started off with success for the lady Chargers of Jefferson County North has they worked past the eight seeded Meade Buffaloes, winning it 62-42.

JCN as the number one seed got off to a eight-point lead after the first period with a 20-12 quarter and held on that that margin headed into halftime. Chargers continued to push their lead up as the second half started working out to a 13-point lead after three quarters, then closing the game out with a 16-9 fourth to grab the win.

One of the best scorer's in the state in JCN 's, Jacee Kramer paced the way for the Chargers dropping 32 points, hitting 9-20 from the floor and 13-16 from the free throw line. Heather Polson also dropped in double figures with 15 points, while only four other Chargers scored in the contest.

With the win JCN continued their season and continued on their quest to defend their state title, improving to 22-2 on the season with the win. Chargers win setups them up for a matchup against the fourth seeded Moundridge squad who won 54-38 in their first round match, game will be at 3:00pm on KAIR 93.7 FM .
