JCN Lady Cruise to Class 2A Title Game with Semifinal Win

Another win in impressive fashion for the lady Chargers of JCN as they cruised to the state title game for the second straight year in Class 2A with a semifinal trouncing of Moundridge, 62-39.

It was another nice start to the ballgame for the Chargers as they pushed out to a 11-8 lead after the first quarter and extended that slim margin to a 30-17 lead at the half behind a 19-9 second quarter of action. It was close third frame but the Chargers grew their lead by four points and closed out the game with a 14-8 fourth quarter.

Six players scored for JCN but it was three key players that paced the way all night as they have most of the season. Chargers were lead as usual with by one of the best scorers in the state in Jacee Kramer who posted 23 points, while her teammates Jamie Navinskey and Heather Polson each added double figures, also. Navinskey chipped in 14 points while Polson put in 16 of her own in the matchup.

For the second straight game the Chargers had no problem at state earning the win and stretching their winning streak out to 20 straight games not having lost since December 11th. JCN improved to 23-2 with the win and punched their ticket to the Class 2A state title game to defend their state title and now await the winner of the Sterling (21-3) vs. Smith Center (22-2).
