Headed into the final day of action in the state tournament and four area teams will be vying for either a state title or third place in their respective class.

In Class 3A and Class 1A-Division I it will be the Nemaha Valley Raiders and Centralia Panthers both going for third place after falling in their semifinal games. The Raiders are 23-2 going into their matchup against Silver Lake in Class 3A, while Centralia at 19-6 will face off with Stockton for third in Class 1A-Division I both games at 2:00pm. In Class 2A, the only area girls team still alive will be looking to defend their state title from last season as the lady Chargers of Jefferson County North will take their 23-2 record into the state title game and face off with Smith Center at 4:00pm (game will be on KAIR 93.7 FM).

The lone boys team to compete for the state title will be TVL team the Axtell Eagles who is a perfect 11-0 in tournament games this season and are 18-8 on the season. Axtell will face off with the unbeaten Fowler squad for the state title at 6:15pm and you can listen to the game on 92.1 KMZA.
