KNZA Broadcast: Royal Valley's Big Fourth Quarter Propels Them Past Valley Falls

The Royal Valley boys basketball team used an 18-1 run in the fourth quarter to pull away from Valley Falls on Friday night 60-45.

The game was back and forth in the first quarter with the Panthers (3-2) leading 16-12.

Royal Valley would hold the Dragons (1-3) to four points in the second quarter as they lead grew to 29-16 at halftime.

Valley Falls got a hot stretch from Damian Cervantez in the third quarter as he would hit four threes for 12 points as the Dragons would get within three going into the fourth quarter.

The Panthers went to another gear in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win as they would outscore the Dragons 22-10 in the final eight minutes.

Royal Valley got 22 points and 11 rebounds from Landon Gilbert and 21 points and 11 rebounds from Trystan Murata.

The Dragons were led by Collin Kearney with 20 points while Cervantez finished the game with 16 points and seven rebounds.
