Frankfort Boys and Girls Sweep Onaga with Both Dominating Victories

The Frankfort Wildcats hosted their final Kansas high school team before the new year, with the Onaga Buffaloes, having traveled for their final game of the 2025 part of their schedule. The Frankfort boys and girls put on back-to-back dominating performances against Onaga.

Frankfort over Onaga 42-24 - Girls

The first quarter between Onaga and Frankfort girls was electric, with seven threes combined from both teams in the first. Frankfort hit four threes in the first quarter, with two coming from Tessa Parthemer. Onaga’s Jadyn Haskin hit two threes for her team as well in the first. The first quarter ended 16-11 and would feature most of the electric scoring compared to the rest of the game. 

The second quarter would take a dip in scoring production, with no one getting on the board until halfway through the quarter. Loralei Loiseau led the scoring in the second quarter for Frankfort with five points and a three-pointer. The half ended 23-15 after Frankfort outscored Onaga 7-4 in the quarter. 

The third quarter would find a similar pace as the second quarter, with Frankfort outscoring Onaga just 5-3 in the quarter, leading 28-18 going into the fourth quarter. The Lady Wildcats would close the game out with four more threes coming in the fourth quarter, with Loralei Loiseau leading the way again with six points on the quarter and two threes. In the end, Onaga was not able to keep pace with the impressive shooting that Frankfort displayed and fell to a loss of 42-24. 

Loiseau finished the night with 15 points, three rebounds, and three three-pointers. Onaga was led by Abbie Ringel with eight points and seven rebounds. Frankfort finished with nine total three compared to Onaga’s three. Frankfort finished with 11 steals and forced over 20 turnovers from Onaga. 

Frankfort over Onaga 55-30 - Boys

There were no lead changes in this match-up as the Frankfort Wildcats hopped up early to a 9-0 lead with Wes Anderson starting the scoring off a deep three. Frankfort ended the first quarter 11-5 over Onaga. Frankfort extended their lead to 26-15 by the half by outscoring Onaga 15-10 in the second quarter. The first half was primarily dominated by Frankfort, especially their freshman forward Kyler Parthemer. Parthemer had eight points and a handful of rebounds in the first half and displayed one of his best performances of his early career. Onaga stayed in the game with some threes from Graham Valburg and Luke Poell, while Ryder Kolterman also hit his first varsity three-pointer in the second quarter for Onaga. 

Frankfort dominated the second half with 29 points scored between the third and fourth quarter, holding Onaga down to just 15 in the final 16 minutes. Wes Anderson was the first to score again to start the second half and finished the half with eight points and five rebounds. Kyler Parthemer also continued his domination performance, but instead of inside the paint, he took his ability to the outside and knocked down two threes. Porter Colvin also added two threes for himself in the second half.

Frankfort came away with seven total threes on the game, 25 rebounds, six steals, and limited themselves to a handful of turnovers when their starting five was on the floor. Kyler Parthemer finished with one of his best games with a team-leading 14 points and four rebounds, while Wes Anderson followed quickly behind with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Onaga was led by Graham Valburg in scoring with eight points. 

Summary

Frankfort Boys improved to 5-2 on the season while the Frankfort Girls got back above .500 to 4-3. Onaga Boys and Girls both drop to 2-3 on the season, with their next match-up coming against Blue Valley Randolph at home to open up 2026 on January 2nd. Frankfort will play three more games against Nebraska teams in 2025, with match-ups coming up against Fairbury, Thayer Central, and Rock Hills.
