Area track and field squads competed at the Seaman Relays on Friday afternoon at USD 345 Stadium at Seaman High School.
The Seaman Relays provide some of the best athletes and teams in the state during the regular season. Complete meet results can be found here.
Girls: Notable finishes included Brynlee Koontz (Jeff West) eighth in the 200m and third in the 400m, Ali Gerber (Silver Lake) fifth in the 400m and sixth in the triple jump, Macie Corcoran (Perry-Lecompton) sixth in the 100m hurdles and fifth in the 300m hurdles, Emmy Reed (Perry-Lecompton) sixth in the 300m hurdles, Silver Lake fifth in the 4x100m relay, Rebekah Lassey (Holton) seventh in the shot put, Taylor Schrick (Jefferson County North) third in the javelin, and Addy Just (Silver Lake) sixth in the long jump.
Olathe North won the meet with 142 points, Manhattan finished in second place with 96 points, and KC Piper finished in third place with 66 points.

Boys: Notable finishes included Kyson Proffitt (Jackson Heights) finishing first place in the 200m and second place in the 100m dash events. Kyson broke the school record in the 100m during prelims, and came broke and lowered that time in the finals for the top mark in 2A this season. His winning time in the 200m broke the school record and put him atop the 2A ranks and second overall among all classes.
Joel Miller (Silver Lake) finished seventh in the 400m, Will Elias (Jefferson County North) finished third in the 300m hurdles, Silver Lake finished seventh in the 4x100m and fifth in the 4x400m relays, Jefferson County North finished third in the 4x800m relay, Myles Fisher (Silver Lake) finished sixth in the discus, Landen Lewis (Rossville) finished fourth in the javelin, Amos Brackenhoff (Perry-Lecompton) finished fifth in the javelin, Christopher Noll (Jefferson County North) finished fourth in the high jump, and Owen Rottinghaus (Silver Lake) finished fifth in the long jump.
KC Piper and Olathe North finished tied atop the meet with 70 points each while Junction City finished in third place with 62.5 points.
