Axtell, Sabetha Boys Finish Top Three; Thunder Girls Finish Third at NC Invite

The Axtell and Sabetha boys track and field teams finished second and third respectively at the Nemaha Central Invitational on Tuesday while the Thunder girls picked up a third place finish.

Girls: Notable first place finishes included Meg Honeyman (Nemaha Central) in the 100m and long jump, Macey Drahota (Sabetha) in the 800m and pole vault, Reese McCauley (Doniphan West) in the 100m and 300m hurdles, Ali Henry (Nemaha Central) in the javelin, and Regan Hasenkamp (Axtell) in the triple jump.

Boys: Notable first place finishes included Kyson Proffitt (Jackson Heights) in the 100m, Conner Lueger (Nemaha Central) in the 400m, Charlie Lukert (Sabetha) in the 800m and 1600m, Landon Schmitz (Axtell) in the 110m and 300m hurdles, Holden Edelman (Sabetha) in the discus and javelin, Logan Sandmann (Axtell) in the long jump, and Will Voos (Sabetha) in the triple jump.  

Jackson Heights won the 4x100m relay and Sabetha won the 4x800m relay.
