The Royal Valley boys track and field team won their May Invitational on Thursday afternoon while the Santa Fe Trail girls took home a meet victory. Complete meet results can be found here.
Girls: Notable first place finishes came from Emma Vogel of Oskaloosa in the 1600m, Lauryn Caviness of Royal Valley in the pole vault, and Hallie Wright of Oskaloosa in both the long jump and triple jump.
Santa Fe Trail and Mission Valley combined to finish first place in the remaining events.

Boys: The Panthers had a solid afternoon and got first place finishes from John Rupnicki in the 800m, Landon Gilbert in the 110m and 300m hurdles, Rowan Warton in the high jump, Tyler Carlisle in the long jump, and Bowen Bryan in the triple jump. The Panthers also finished first in the 4x400m relay.
Other notable first place finishes came from Noah Martin of Atchison in the 200m, Zachary Tschauder of Atchison in the 3200m, Logan Frakes of Jefferson West in the javelin, and Pierson Cyphers of Holton in the pole vault. Atchison also finished first in the 4x100m relay.
