3A Regional Track at Osage City: Silver Lake Squads Finish Top Two & Royal Valley Boys Take Third

3A Regional Track Meet at Osage City - RESULTS 

Plenty of local squads were competing at the 3A Regional Track Meet in Osage City on Thursday afternoon. 

The Silver Lake girls finished runner-up with 98 points. Osage City won the regional title with 101 points. Perry-Lecompton finished fourth with 77 points and Holton finished fifth with 61 points. Oskaloosa finished sixth with 33 points while Jefferson West and Royal Valley tied for 10th with 22 points each. 

Top Area Finishes: Macie Corcoran (Perry-Lecompton) 2nd place 100m hurdles & 2nd place 300m hurdles, Emmy Reed (Perry-Lecompton) 3rd place 100m hurdles & 3rd place 300m hurdles, Karys Deiter (Silver Lake) 3rd place 100m dash, Pauly Rockey (Hiawatha) 2nd place 1600m run, Brynlee Koontz (Jefferson West) 1st place 400m dash & 1st place 800m run, Ali Gerber (Silver Lake) 2nd place 400m dash, Jolie Corcoran (Perry-Lecompton) 2nd place 200m dash, Jaylie Whitehead (Silver Lake) 3rd place 200m dash, and Sophia Goombi (Holton) 3rd place 3200m run. 

Perry-Lecompton won the 4x100m relay while Silver Lake finished in second. 

The Silver Lake boys finished runner-up with 82.5 points. Osage City won the regional title with 114.5 points. Royal Valley finished in third place with 68 points, Jefferson West finished in seventh place with 40 points, Holton in eighth with 39 points, and Perry-Lecompton in ninth with 30 points. 

Top Area Finishes: Gus Smith (Hiawatha) 3rd place 110m hurdles, Owen Rottinghaus (Silver Lake) 3rd place 100m dash, Joel Miller (Silver Lake) 2nd place 400m dash & 3rd place 200m dash, Kayden Gale (Holton) 4th place 400m dash, Landon Gilbert (Royal Valley) 1st place 300m hurdles, and Griffin Cumpton (Royal Valley) 4th place 200m dash.
