TVL Tournament (at Washington County) - Quarterfinals
Doniphan West galloped out to a 8-1 start to the game in the battle of Mustangs in the TVL Tournament Quarterfinals but only lead 13-10 after the first quarter over Valley Heights. That lead grew in the second quarter as Doniphan West would outscore Valley Heights 17-9 in the frame to lead 30-19 at the half and that early lead and a 20-23 performance from the free throw line in the second half (24-33 free throws for game) carried Doniphan West to the 66-48 win. The three-point basket fell early for Doniphan West hitting six three's in the first half with three apiece for Levi Watts and Devin Taylor. Taylor finished with a game and tournament high 30 points hitting five three's and going 9-10 from the line earning Community National Bank "Player to Bank On" honors on KMZA. Watts added 19 points for Doniphan West as they move to 7-3 on the season and earned a spot in the Semifinals. Valley Heights in the loss was led by Logan Woodyard who scored 14 points as team fell to 6-4 on the year with the loss.
