It was close game throughout but Holton did mount a 10 point lead in the 3rd quarter before Nemaha Valley answered with a run to end the quarter and take a one-point lead into the 4th period. Down to the wire it went and junior, Caleb Meyer registered a 3-point play to give Nemaha Valley a 2-point lead after the free throw with 6.6 seconds left to go.
Holton miss fired on a 3pter at the buzzer that would have won the game. In the loss the Wildcats were lead by Tyler Burdiek who finished with 15 points and Trent Tanking who added 12 points. For the Raiders, Creighton Brinker was the only player register double digits with 10 points, but Meyer and Trent Olberding each added 9 points.
