Holton held just a 30-21 lead at the half and early in the 3rd quarter Hiawatha cut that lead to 30-28 but the Wildcats scored the next 28 points with all four TDs coming from Mason Strader to ultimately earn the win. Strader finished with 249 yards rushing with 5 TDs, while Jackson Martin ran for 2 TDs and Dylan Aeschilman added a TD run. AJ Haussler ran for 167 yards on the night in the win and Paul Kuffner hit a 27-yard field goal.
In the loss Hiawatha had Tyler Brockhoff break his own school record tossing 5 TD passes going 19-33 for 385 yards. Michael Moreno caught 8 passes for 200 yards with 3 TDs, while Andrew Woods caught 4 passes for 106 yards including a 74-yard TD. Alan Simpson also snagged a 40-yard TD reception.
