For first time in 20 years Sabetha Bluejays will vie for the State title after edging Silver Lake in the Sub-State round of the playoffs. Silver Lake led 6-0 in the 1st quarter but by halftime Sabetha was up 7-6. The Bluejays ran for 287 yards in the contest and took advantage of three Silver Lake turnovers.
Mason Engelken ran for 82 yards with a TD on 15 carries for Sabetha, while Gabe Garber had 85 yards on 11 carries with a TD and grabbed an INT on defense. Joe Gruber added 71 yards on 18 carries, while Braeden Cox kicked a 28-yard field goal. Wyatt Beyer also grabbed 2 INTs on defense.
