A 14-8 first quarter gave Nemaha Central early control but the Thunder only led 24-20 at intermission despite holding a 10-point lead at one point in the second quarter. Holton hung tough and got within two in the final seconds and after a missed free throw by Nemaha Central it was Holton Wildcat, Saydee Tanking hoisting a 18-foot jumper in the final seconds to potentially tie the game but it missed and Nemaha Central held on for the win.
Laura Macke led Nemaha Central scoring 14 points, while Allison Rottinghaus and Jacy Dalinghaus each netted 9 points. Holton was led by Lauryn Moore who scored 15 points, while Saydee Tanking tallied 14 points.
