A tight ball game to the wire that saw both teams have leads but ultimately the home team Valley Heights gained the 2 point win over Axtell. Mustangs took early lead into the half behind a 12-6 2nd quarter, but Axtell answered back with a 15-4 3rd quarter.

Charles Musil lead Valley Heights with a game-high 20 points, as Tanner Trimble chipped in 10 points. For Axtell they were lead by Aaron Schmelzle who scored 13 points and Derek Porting who chipped in 10 points.
