TVL Tournament (at Onaga) - Championship
After a solid start to the game Doniphan West held off Hanover to trot to the 63-54 win and claim the TVL Tournament title. Behind the three-ball early Doniphan West jumped on Hanover making five three's in the first quarter to lead 18-11 after one quarter. Mustangs grew the lead to 11-points at 26-15 in the second quarter and went into halftime up 32-25 with Devin Taylor leading the way with 15 points in the first half for Doniphan West. Hanover closed the lead to two-points with a 12-7 third quarter making it 39-37. Doniphan West closed the game strong and earned the win.
The win moves Doniphan West to 11-0 on the season and claims them the TVL Tournament title. Taylor led the Mustangs with 20 points and earned Community National Bank "Player of to Bank" honors on 92.1 KMZA. Newt Smith and Levi Watts added 14 points each for Doniphan West. The loss is the first of the season for Hanover moving them to 9-1 on the season. Thomas Atkins led the Wildcats with 21 points, while Pete Peters scored 12 points.
