Valley Heights led 23-13 at the half but a 19-10 third quarter by Axtell tightened the gap to one-point after three quarter's of play. The Mustangs managed to hold off the Eagles for the win getting 12 points from Jeremy Reed, while Bryan Yungeberg, Tyler Wagner and Harrison Blaske each scored 10 points. Quinn Buessing led Axtell with 22 points, while Hunter Koch scored 14 points.
