In an overtime thriller the Onaga Buffaloes snapped their 4-game losing streak beating the Axtell Eagles on the road. Buffaloes lead 28-19 at the half but Axtell battled back and tied the game at 46-46 to force overtime; a late 3pter by Taylor Platt tied the game for Axtell at the end of regulation.
Onaga was only 22-42 from the free throw line but an 11-14 performance form the charity strip and 20 points at the hands of Mitchell Kufahl helped propel Buffaloes to the win. Thomas Eisenbarth and Wyatt Cordell chipped in 14 and 10 points each on the night for Onaga.
For Axtell Payton Heinen lead the way with 15 points, while Christian Buessing added 10 points and Taylor Platt finished with 9 points.
