Football - Nemaha Valley vs Hiawatha 09/28/2012 7:00 PM

Nemaha Valley stayed unbeaten in Big Seven League play with a comeback win over Hiawatha. The Raiders had a 4th & goal stand on the 4 yard line with 6.9 seconds left in the game to preserve the win.

Junior quarterback, Caleb Meyer was 8-10 for 119 yards and 3 TD's, with 2 TD receptions by Creighton Brinker (4 & 33 yards), the other an 18 yards reception by Justice McKernan. The lone other score in the game for the Raiders was on defense with Brinker taking an interception back 44 yards to the endzone.

For Hiawatha it was four turnovers that plagued them in the game (3 fumbles, 1 INT). Quarterback, Brad Chilcoat was 9-13 for 116 yards a TD and INT on the night with the TD toss going to Denzel Chilcoat for 10 yards. Denzel had 78 yards receiving and 68 yards rushing, including a 52 yard TD run. Parker Hasenkamp carried the workload with 27 carries for 118 yards and a 20 yard TD run.
