Cyclones remain unbeaten and claim at least a share of the DVL title with the win over ACCHS. Riverside (5-0) up 8-6 at the half, stretched their lead to 16-6 with a Dakota Pummell 7 yard TD run, then things started to go in the favor of the Tigers, slightly.
ACCHS (4-1) moved the ball down the field setting up a 35 yard field goal attempt that Jacob Hansen (1-2 on the night) put through the uprights and brought the Tigers back within a touchdown. After that the Tigers would mount a few tries to tie the ball game but came up short each time. After a big pass play by ACCHS quarterback, Kyle Chew to runningback, Ramsey Hundley to get into Cyclone territory but a few plays later Riverside linebacker, Zach Hatler picked off a Chew pass.
Tigers would threaten again but ultimately run out of time in the ballgame as the Cyclones held on for the win. Cyclone sophomore quarterback, Andrae McGaughy tallied 129 yards rushing and a TD while also completing 4 of 5 passes. Zach Halter led the Riverside defense with 13 tackles, including one for loss, and had an INT.
