Football - Hiawatha vs Horton 10/12/2012 7:00 PM

District play opened for these two teams who were playing each other for the first times since 1978. The game started off with fireworks as Hiawatha scored on the first play from scrimmage on an short pass that went 85 yards on the Chilcoat connection; Brad Chilcoat to his brother Denzel Chilcoat.

Horton answered on the kickoff with Dakota Bayles taking it 80 yards for the score; Hiawatha then fumbled that ball on their own 19 and Horton recovered scoring on the next couple of plays with a Josh Allen TD, to give Horton a 14-7 lead.

The Redhawks went on to score the next five touchdowns in the game to take grasp of the game as they outgained the Chargers 402 to 42 in the first half and 607 yards to 115 yards for the game.

Redhawks saw multiple great nights with Brad Chilcoat going 7-16 for 255 yards and 3 TD's, 176 yards receiving by his brother Denzel Chilcoat with 2 TD catches (71 & 85 yards) and Parker Hasenkamp rushed for 138 yards on 24 carries and 3 TD's.

For Horton their lone second half score came on a 38 yard halfback pass from Jordan Matthias to Spencer DelosSantos.
