Battle for second place in Class 2-1A District 1 and it was a tight ballgame but the Cobras at home got their 6th win of the season but only by five points.
Tim Rupnicki and Nate Bryan led the Cobra attack, as Rupnicki rushed for 2 scores (55 & 3 yards) and Bryan had a 6 yard TD run and 85 yard kickoff return TD. For the Mustangs, Tanner Trimble, continued to showcase speed with a 25 yard TD run and 45 yard punt return TD. Cole Maddox added a 40 yard TD run for Valley Heights.
Both teams remain alive for a playoff spot but with the win Jackson Heights puts themselves in the drivers seat to take second in the district behind Centralia.
