Hiawatha jumped on Royal Valley early with a 17-6 first quarter and led 30-20 at the half but the Panthers got back into the game with a 23-15 third quarter closing the gap. The Red Hawks answered to finish the game with a 16-9 fourth quarter to secure the win. Emily Gartner led Hiawatha with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks, while Cariann Kunkel chipped in 16 points and Molly Kettler scored 13 points. Lexi Baker and Tamo Thomas each scored 15 points for Royal Valley, while Kate Hanson posted 12 points.
