Troy picked up were they left off from the previous year jumping on Valley Heights early leading 22-8 after the first quarter and cruised to the win. Reid Greaser slung the ball around completing 11 of 13 passes for 330 yards with 3 TDs and had a TD run, as Cuttar Huss caught 5 passes for 183 yards with 2 TDs (70 & 80 yards). Brody Winder snagged 3 passes for 114 yards and a TD and also returned a fumble 82 yards for a TD. Conner McNorton and Alex Martinez both had a rushing TD also for the Trojans.
In the loss Valley Heights had 433 yards of total offense as Logan Woodyard ran for 2 TDs on 18 carries for 80 yards and toss a 41-yard TD pass to Harrison Blaske going 3-4 for 78 yards. While Hunter Stevenson added a TD on the ground on 26 carries for 137 yards. Mustangs were hurt by 3 turnovers in the game.
