Seven lead changes and 950 total yards of offense was featured in a high scoring Big Seven showdown between Holton and Nemaha Central. Ultimately with 37 seconds left in the game the Thunder went for a 2-point conversion and on a Ryan Hasenkamp run took the lead with the conversion to ultimately win by one-point after trailing by 12 and 13 points at different points in the game.
Nemaha Central had Hasenkamp go for 17-19 for 214 yards with a TD and ran for 43 yards on 13 caries with 2 TDs. Mitchell Henry caught 7 passes for 84 yards and tossed a 24-yard TD pass to Dylan Enneking who snagged 5 passes for 93 yards. Jacob Schmitz added a rushing TD and Trenton Henry caught a TD pass, while Jacob Koelzer ran for 72 yards on 12 carries with a TD.
Holton was led by the duo of Miles McClintock-Strozier and Spencer Baum who ran for 235 yards on 11 carries with 2 TDs (88, 57 yards) and 197 yards on 24 carries with 2 TDs (73, 39 yards), respectively. Parker Zeller and Tyler Price each added a TD run. The Wildcats did have 10 penalities for 100 yards in the contest.
