Doniphan West Hosts Track Action With Troy & Centralia

Doniphan West Track Relays Results (4-18-17) - Girls & Boys

Track season rolled along on Tuesday for a trio of Twin Valley League schools as the competed against each other with one other team in action also at the Doniphan West Relays. 

The girls top team finish on the day was earned by Troy, followed by Southeast, Centralia and Doniphan West. In the boys competition Southeast took first, while Centralia finished second and then Troy and Doniphan West finished out the four team standings.

On the way to first place as a team Troy was led by six individual first place finishes in the girls competition. In the field events Amanda Stock won the high jump, while Lexi Norris took first in the javelin (83'06) and Sierra Christopher earned first in the discus (70'09). On the track Cassidy Rosenberger won the 800 meter run (2:47), while Holly Williams took first in the 1600 meter run (6:45) and the 4x100 meter relay earned the gold with a time of 4:48.54. 

Centralia on the day was led by a pair of multi-event winners as Donavan Blagg and Derek VanDorn each won two events. Blagg raced his way to first in the 800 meter run (2:29) and leapt to the win in the high jump (5'06), while VanDorn threw is way too first in the javelin (101'05) and shot put (38'06). Ransom Engelken and Cooper Deters both also won events for the Centralia boys taking first in the 3200 meter run (13:21) and pole vault (9'06). While in the girls competition Emily Weyer finished first in the 3200 meter run (18:15). 

The host Doniphan West was led by Norman Miller and Austin Owen who each won a boys field event on the day. Miller with a toss of 110'03 won the discus and a leap of 36'05.50 won Owen the triple jump.
