Benedictine Claims 56-0 Win at Graceland

Not even mother nature, who delayed kickoff two times, could hold off the Benedictine College football team as it dominated Graceland University 56-0 Saturday in Lamoni, IA.

The Ravens put their first touchdown on the board 1:05 into the game and had added a second just minutes later.  By halftime the visitors were up 28-0.

Ejay Johnson again led the Benedictine rushing attack with 177 yards on 23 carries. Fullback Frank Trent went into the endzone from 47 yards out on his only carry, and Marquis Stewart scored twice on the ground.  Shaffer Schuetz hit 16 of 24 passes and threw for 3 touchdowns on the afternoon.

BC is now 6-1 on the season and 1-0 in Divisional play in the HAA Conference.

Next Saturday the Ravens will be back at home for the first time in 4 weeks as they host Culver-Stockton College.  It will be Homecoming and BC will be celebrate its annual Hall of Fame induction which will feature, amoung others, the 1992 Raven football team which went to the final four.

Saturday's broadcast on KAIR 93.7 will begin at 12:30 with the pre-game show.  Kickoff in Wilcox Stadium is set for 1:00.
