K-Preps have released their new rankings heading into the week two matchups on Friday night.
Axtell remains the top of the 8M-II class after they defeated Linn 52-6 in the opener for their 53rd straight win. Hanover jumped a spot to #3 after they beat a ranked Ell-Saline squad in their first game 32-8.
The 1A Class is heavy with Northeast Kansas squads starting with Jackson Heights who remained at #2 behind only defending champs Conway Springs. The Cobras opened their season with a 21-0 win against Riverside.
Centralia is ranked #3 as they defeated Valley Heights in the opener 28-14 and Rossville is ranked #4 after they won the War on 24 over Silver Lake in overtime 28-27.
Nemaha Central impressed in their opener as they blanked Marysville 48-0 as they stayed true at #2 behind only defending champs Southeast of Saline.
