The Axtell volleyball team won the Valley Falls Tournament on Saturday defeating Centralia in the championship in straight sets. 

The Eagles lost to the Panthers in pool play but won their other matches against Valley Falls, Horton, and McLouth. 

Axtell would beat Maranatha 25-22, 25-23 in the semifinals and then would get revenge on Centralia in the championship winning 26-24, 25-23. 

Centralia would sweep their pool play matches against Axtell, McLouth, Horton, and Valley Falls and then would beat Leavenworth 25-21, 25-16 before the loss to the Eagles in the title match. 

Maur Hill-Mount Academy beat Jackson Heights in the fifth place match 25-21, 25-14 and Horton defeated Valley Falls in the seventh place match 25-19, 25-18.
