K-Preps Rankings Heading into Week 6

K-Preps have updated their football rankings after the week five matchups and ahead of week six this week. 

Axtell remains #1 in 8M-II after they won their 57th straight game in week five against Wakefield 47-0. The Eagles scored all 46 points in the first quarter and left no doubt in that game. The 57 straight wins is the all-time 8M consecutive wins record and they continue to add to that. 

Hanover holds down their spot at #3 in 8M-II behind only Axtell and Victoria. The Wildcats blanked Blue-Valley Randolph 48-0 last week and have wo 17 straight against the Rams dating back to 2005. 

Jackson Heights big time run in 2025 continued with a win over Pleasant Ridge last week 70-6. The Cobras have outscored their opponents so far this season 269-20 and remain the #1 team in 1A. 

Rossville picked up another dominant win in district play against Mission Valley 55-6 and are ranked #3 in 1A. The Bulldogs rushed for 333 yards and averaged 15 yards per carry against the Vikings. 

Nemaha Central holds down their spot at #2 in Class 2A as they opened district play with a 55-6 win against Oskaloosa. Nemaha Central will face 5-0 rival Sabetha this week on 92.1 KMZA and the Sabetha Channel.
