Linn Wins TVL Volleyball Tournament at Onaga

The Linn volleyball team won the Twin Valley League tournament on Saturday in Onaga with an impressive run throughout the day. 

Linn entered the tournament as the #2 seed and opened up play with a quarterfinal win against Onaga 25-21, 25-22. 

The semifinals matched them up with 3-seed Centralia and they were able to get the straight sets win 25-22, 25-22. 

The championship matched Linn up with 4-seed Hanover and they won a tight battle in straight sets 25-20, 25-23. 

Valley Heights was the top seed going into the tournament and the Mustangs would finish in third place beating Centralia in the consolation finals 25-17, 25-23. 

Axtell finished in fifth place beating both Blue Valley-Randolph and Frankfort in straight sets in the consolation bracket. 

Host Onaga would finish the tournament in seventh place beating Blue Valley-Randolph in that final match 25-21, 22-25, 29-27.
