The Jefferson West girls golf team won the Silver Lake 3-2-1A Sub-State Tournament at Cypress Ridge on Monday afternoon. 

The Tigers posted three top five finishes with Addison Fechter in third place with a 90, Izzy Higgins in fourth place with a 91, and Taryn Taylor in fifth place with a 92. 

Jefferson West finished with a team score of 380 with Silver Lake finishing in second place with a 391. The Eagles had the sub-state champion in Kailyn Hanni who won the tournament by three strokes with a round of 86. 

Avenley Head finished in seventh place with a 94 while Savanah Wende finished in ninth place with a round of 97. 

Maur Hill-Mount Academy also qualified for the state tournament as they finished the tournament in third place with a team score of 424. Maria Carillo led the Ravens as she finished in second place with a round of 89 while Maria Guerra finished in sixth place with a round of 93. 

Rossville added a state qualifier with Elley Sanders who finished the tournament in eighth place with a round of 96. 

The Class 3-2-1A State Golf Tournament will be held Oct. 20-21 at Salina Municipal Golf Course.
