The Hiawatha girls and Holton boys won the Big East League Cross Country Titles on Thursday afternoon at Shawnee North Community Park. 

The Redhawk girls were led by the individual champion in Pauly Rockey who finished with a time of 20:51.80. Ali Krauter finished in fourth place while Bri Guilliams finished in 12th place. For Hiawatha it was their seventh league title in the last 11 years. 

Finishing in second place was Holton as Kennedy Smith led the Wildcats with a third place finish. Sophia Goombi finished in eighth place while Rebekah Dement finished in 13th place. 

Royal Valley finished in third place followed by Riley County, Nemaha Central, Sabetha, Silver Lake, and Perry-Lecompton. 

The remaining top 10 finishes were from Cora Langill of Nemaha Central in second, Alessandra Gerber of Silver Lake in fifth, Addisyn Gutsch of Riley County in sixth, Josie Shelton of Royal Valley in seventh, Arianna Faulkner of Royal Valley in ninth, and Lucy Metzger of Sabetha in 10th. 

The Holton boys captured their first league title since 1982 as they placed three inside the top 10. Daniel Cannon finished in sixth place, Dalton Peters finished in eighth place, and Dominic Lancaster finished in ninth place. 

Riley County finished behind the Wildcats in second place as they boasted the individual champion in Jeter Adams with a time of 16:31.20. He finished 26 seconds ahead of second place which was Harry Langill of Nemaha Central. 

Silver Lake, Nemaha Central, and Hiawatha rounded out the top five in the team stanadings followed by Sabetha, Royal Valley, Rossville, Perry-Lecompton, Jefferson West, and St. Marys. 

Remaining top 10 finishes were from Ethan Tolbert of Perry-Lecompton in third, Guy Phillips of Jefferson West in fourth, Silver Lake's Hunter Rooks in fifth, Dash Hancock of Riley County in seventh, and Hunter May of Royal Valley in 10th.
