K-Preps Rankings Ahead of Sub-State Championship Games

K-Preps have updated their rankings ahead of Sub-State Championship games this week in the high school football playoffs. 

The top two teams in 8M-II are set to battle it out for a spot in the state title game as #1 Hanover hosts #2 Axtell. Hanover beat Axtell in the regular season which ended the Eagles' 58-game winning streak. Axtell also looking for their fifth straight state championship. 

1A #1 Jackson Heights survived NEKL rival Riverside in the Sectional round last week to stay unbeaten and now they get ready to take on #3 Rossville in Holton. Rossville went on the road last week and won their Sectional game against St. Marys-Colgan. 

Nemaha Central remains #2 in Class 2A behind only defending champs Southeast of Saline. The Thunder held off Sabetha 21-20 last week and now get ready to host #4 Osage City. The Indians beat Caney Valley last week with their only loss on the season at Silver Lake in week seven.
