2021 Northeast Kansas League Summer Baseball – Standings

2021 McDonald’s Player of the Game – Winners

The legion baseball season continued Tuesday night with Sabetha hosting Doniphan County for a Northeast Kansas League doubleheader and the two teams played to a split with the Raptors taking game one 13-10 and DC the nightcap 7-0.

In game one it was an offensive outburst by both teams and poor pitching throughout with 18 combined walks between the two sides.

Both teams plated two runs in the first inning before Sabetha took a 7-5 lead in the second scoring five runs on RBIs from Marcus Bauman, Darrin Funk and Josh Herrmann.

DC came right back and tied the game in the third on RBIs from Griffin Weber and Charlie Grable, but it was short lived as Sabetha came right back with five runs in the bottom of the fourth to take control for good.

The Raptors got a big day from Marcus Baumann who was named the McDonald’s Player of the Game on 103.9 KNZA after going 4-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored along with earning the save on the mound.

Josh Herrmann also added two hits and two RBI for Sabetha in the win, while Chase Frey added two RBI.

DC was led in the loss by Cale Hamilton who had two hits and three RBI in the game while Charlie Grable and Griffin Weber each added two RBI.

In game two DC scored a run in the first and added five more in the second and that was more than enough for Trent Spiker.

Spiker allowed only two hits and fanned 10 Raptors in the 7-0 win.

Charlie Grable and Griffin Weber had a pair of hits to lead DC's 8-hit attack.

Sabetha Falls to Auburn in Single Game Wednesday

Hayden Hall & Nic Knudsan combined on a 3-hitter to lead Auburn to a convincing 10-1 five-inning victory over Sabetha.

Auburn took a 3-0 lead in the second and added four more runs to blow the game open.

The Raptors got their only run in the second on a Johnathan Renyer RBI single.
